Luggage was never my strong suit. My bags were mismatched, I always over packed, and consistently seemed to be that girl struggling to carry her bags and arrive to the gate on time. I think it was after the flight home from Paris where I had my hands full and had to kick my duffle bag just to get through the line that I decided I needed to change my stance on luggage and find a more efficient, stylish option. Traveling isn’t always easy, but your suitcases and bags should definitely be something that help you out, not stress you out.
So with that in mind, I decided to give my luggage a makeover. I ditched the suitcases that I have had since elementary school and upgraded for a four wheel, sleek suitcase. Yet, I didn’t want to blow my budget so I opted for one from a department store. It’s smaller size forces me to critically think about what I am packing and if its not an absolute necessity, then it doesn’t make the cut. A game changer for me.
A month or so later, I was gifted a Herschel duffle by my close family friends. I was so happy and excited about this generous gift. I was given the Novel Duffle (in light grey crosshatch) which is the perfect size for a quick trip or ideal to fit in extra necessities on a longer one. A few months ago, after the zippers on one of my Herschel back packs mysteriously broke off and ruined the bag, the bag company sent me a code to replace my broken pack for a brand new one (10/10 for customer service). After receiving the duffle, I knew I had to get the matching backpack. After much deliberation, I settled on the Pop Quiz backpack in the same coloring, found here: https://herschel.com/shop/backpacks/pop-quiz-backpack?v=10011-01460-OS
The backpack will be used for travel and school next year and is the perfect size to accommodate the needs that both demand for.
I highly recommend Herschel to anyone looking to improve their travel efficiency and support a company with incredible service and an eye for fashion.
I can’t wait for my next trip so I can travel in style!
With love,
Carly
