Since I was little, The Leaning Tower of Pisa has been one of those places that seemed so iconic and magical, but way too foreign- like something out of a fairytale book. So when I was in Italy, I knew it had to be crossed off the list.
About an hour train ride from Florence, Pisa is a small town- with a huge tower. Streets tangle into each other and restaurants and shops line the adorable walkways that lead up to the city’s monument. When I first walked up, I was disappointed by the tower’s so called “leani-ness” but realized it was only because from my angle the tower was falling towards me. With a walk around the circumference, I was actually shocked at how the tower was not falling on all the humans below at this very moment…
Came to Pisa, Saw The Leaning Tower, and Conquered some pizza!
With love,
Carly
