Last fall, I got the chance to spend a quick layover in Dubai. We were exhausted from traveling but the excitement of a new city fueled our exploration. Dubai is equal parts historic as it is cutting-edge— walking through the city feels like a dance between old and new. We got to experience the spices, scents, and culture of Dubai through their souks, which serve as markets and are separated into districts. One of my favorite parts was boating through the town and seeing the sights via water, accompanied by a sea breeze in the otherwise hot desert. My time in this city was unexpected, and quite limited but an experience I will always remember.
Captured on film on a Canon AE1.
With love,
